Lucknow: In a significant step towards enhancing medical education, professional training, and research collaboration, the Army Medical Corps Centre and College (AMC C&C), Lucknow, under the aegis of the Army Training Command, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with King George’s Medical University.
The agreement aims to strengthen the “Whole-of-Nation” approach to healthcare capacity building by promoting professional training, knowledge sharing, and institutional cooperation between military and civilian medical establishments.
The MoU was formally signed on Friday, marking a new chapter in the longstanding association between the two premier institutions.

He highlighted the mutual exchange of expertise between the Army Medical Corps and KGMU, which has contributed significantly to the professional growth and capabilities of both organizations.
Lt Gen Singh noted that the agreement would further enhance opportunities for joint training programmes, academic interaction, skill development, and the sharing of best practices in medical sciences and healthcare management.

Prof. Sonia Nityanand reaffirmed KGMU’s commitment to supporting the Indian Armed Forces through its academic excellence, clinical expertise, and research capabilities. She emphasized that the collaboration would help ensure the holistic development of trainees while fostering stronger coordination between military and civilian healthcare institutions.

The MoU also reflects a broader effort to leverage institutional strengths for national healthcare advancement. By combining the operational experience of military medical services with the academic and research expertise of KGMU, the collaboration aims to create new opportunities for innovation, professional excellence, and improved healthcare outcomes.
